The Education Ministry has opened applications for the Allied Health Professional Scholarship scheme, offering 955 places across 51 fields.
The fields covered include physiotherapy, counselling, psychology, pharmacy and optometry.
Courses are offered at master's, bachelor's and diploma level, both in the Maldives and abroad.
Applications are made through the ministry's portal at kuri.gov.mv and close at 13:30 on Thursday, 31 December.
The scheme follows a proposal made last year by the Education and Health ministries, together with the national university, to train 1,500 allied health professionals over five years, prioritising the fields with the highest demand.
