Fifteen resorts in the Maldives hold MICHELIN Keys in the MICHELIN Guide's 2026 hotel selection, according to the guide's Maldives listings.

Four properties hold the top distinction of Three Keys: Cheval Blanc Randheli, JOALI BEING, Soneva Fushi and Soneva Secret. Michelin said Soneva Secret was the only new Three-Key hotel in Asia this year.

Four resorts hold Two Keys: One&Only Reethi Rah, Soneva Jani, The Nautilus Maldives and The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands.

Seven hold One Key: Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru, JOALI Maldives, OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI, Six Senses Kanuhura, Six Senses Laamu, Vakkaru Maldives and Veligandu Maldives Resort Island.

What the Keys mean

MICHELIN Keys are the guide's hotel distinction, the equivalent of its Stars for restaurants. Michelin defines One Key as "a very special stay", Two Keys as "an exceptional stay" and Three Keys as "an extraordinary stay".

Michelin announced the 2026 selection on 18 September. It said 2,832 hotels worldwide now hold Keys, including 155 with Three Keys, 657 with Two Keys and 2,020 with One Key. A total of 470 hotels across 79 destinations joined the selection this year.

Two-Key resorts

The guide lists The Nautilus Maldives, on Thiladhoo in Baa Atoll, with 26 beach and overwater houses. The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, in North Malé Atoll, is listed with 100 rooms and architecture by Kerry Hill.

The guide's Maldives selection includes 35 hotels in total, 20 of which are listed as recommended hotels without a Key.
