Bank of Maldives (BML) has been named among the World’s Top Performing Banks 2026 by Forbes in partnership with Statista.
The ranking includes 500 banks from 89 countries. BML was placed in Tier 6, which covers institutions with total assets between USD 3 billion and USD 10 billion.
Forbes and Statista assessed banks on four criteria: profitability, growth and earnings quality, capital and funding strength, and asset quality and efficiency.
BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said the listing confirms the bank is strong, well-capitalised and soundly managed. Customers can bank with confidence.
The recognition marks a milestone for the Maldivian banking sector.
